Colors of Life

I was black when I was born,

Slowly my mom washed me and made me grey,

And my father, Ahhh!! His beatings and teachings turned me blue,

Teachers drenched me so I looked like pale,

My crush came up to make me red,

Then left me with in the enigma of shades,

“A flicker”,

But I found myself fairer and fairer,

Years to pass ahead, I may shine like white,

I’m a blissful blend of colors and their shades,

Mortal mournful melody that will fade,

Only the colors stay, forever with voids to fill each day.
